Star Wars Armada - Winter Kit @ Dark Sphere

I attended a Winter Kit tournament at Dark Sphere, London on the 12th March. I took Rebels to the three game event.

I took the following:

Assault Objective: Precision Strike
Defense Objective: Hyperspace Assault
Navigation Objective: Superior Positions

[flagship] MC80 Command Cruiser (106 points)
-  Mon Mothma  ( 30  points)
-  Engine Techs  ( 8  points)
-  Boosted Comms  ( 4  points)
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
-  Salvation  ( 7  points)
-  XI7 Turbolasers  ( 6  points)
CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
-  Jainas Light  ( 2  points)
CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
-  Leia Organa  ( 3  points)
Wedge Antilles ( 19 points)
4 X-Wing Squadrons ( 52 points)
2 Y-Wing Squadrons ( 20 points)

I had not played too many games of Armada prior to the tournament, and it showed. I lost my first game with a complete tabling, which put me bottom of the group.

I then sadly got a bye in my second round, which meant I had to sit around for 2 hours waiting for the final game. Very frustrating, as the main reason I attended was to get some games under my belt. But I watched several different games and picked up some general tips on how to play.

I then won my final game, which was more about maneuvering than killing and it became a great tactical game. I finished 6th, but this was mostly down to the points I gained from the bye round.

I don't remember the specifics of the game, but enjoy the photos from my games.
